Yes. It was observed a dog in the middle of broccoli block 802. Note: Dog was with a crew member monitoring for bird acitivity. Auditee stated dog resides in the yard area only.

Spoke to owner about keeping the dog out of growing area. The owner will leash the dog during growing season to prevent the dog entering growing area.

There is a written policy that addresses the ban of all domestic animals from being on work site. Additional employee meetings were held after incident occurred to re-address issue and emphasize importance of the policy.

Visual monitoring of fields and surrounding areas is in place to minimize risk of intrusion by animals. All employees have been notified to inform supervisors immediately if an animal is present in or near the growing area.

At this time there is not a gate at the entrance to the ranch. There are however no trespassing signs posted and employees are trained to report to their supervisors any non Gila Valley Farms personnel or suspicious activity in or around the ranch.

Yes. Animals do have access to the canal water.

In this growing region the majority of our water comes from an open canal system, therefor it is impossible to prevent animals from having access to our water sources. However we do have visual monitoring of fields and water sources in place and use other preventative measures to reduce the risk of potential intrusion of animals.
